I don’t get stuck in the drama of the young person’s past
I help young people stop making excuses for their current behaviour and working in partnership we create alternative vehicles for them to get their needs met. I see the talents behind current behaviours.
Whether I am working 121 on the phone or face to face in London or whether running groups for Youth Offending Teams or charities - my philosophy is the same - I am there to support the young people I work with, to see the best in them, to support and motivate them and to ensure that if they are prepared to do what it takes (whatever that is) they can do what they want to in life in terms of career and personal aspirations too.
I believe Less excuses + identified talents = more opportunities in life
It is my belief that young people who act out they are behaving in a way which shows that they are wanting to be included in society not excluded (want to belong, be loved, be noticed)
